He's the "greatest defensive boxer of all time"

I'm not a boxing guy so I don't know if that is just putting a positive spin on what you said but that Is what I've heard about Mayweather

Interesting match for sure. It has been a long time since i've had any interest in boxing. That's some pay day for both, providing McGregor doesn't switch back to cage-fighter mode

Little do we know...Mayweather's been training in MMA for the last decade...sweeps McGregor and chokes his ass. THAT would be worth the money.

He's an exceptional defensive fighter by all accounts. Incredibly difficult to hit consistently, but doesn't look for the knockout and doesn't generally push the fight. That's what makes him boring......he's more a counter-punching boxer than a fighter, if you want to look at it like that. Doesn't make for fan friendly fights.

Maywearher is only an offensive boxer when his opponent is a female.

"One thing we do know...".

Didn't see the first press conference, but if yesterday's is any indication of how the first went, I'd say McGregor is winning the pre fight.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I understand. I think there are good defensive fighters and boring. I've watched MMA for years and there are the same type in there as well.

lol You have to love Conor's confidence and trash talking. He's probably the greatest trash talker ever, I never thought this fight would actually happen even with the huge $ because of his zero experience in boxing and Floyd being the best boxer of this generation(and probably top 10 all time). It's just crazy it's actually happening, but in reality Conor would be lucky to land anything, Floyd's just that slick defensively.

IF somehow, though very unlikely, Conor does KO Mayweather it would be a big blow to boxing imo. Having one of the greatest boxers of all time lose to an MMA fighter would be devastating and give MMA a lot more credibility. Honestly I think May will embarrass Conor, tire him and knock him out in the mid-late rounds. He actually has power but chooses to box and pot shot.

I'm actually interested in seeing what it does to the UFC if Conor's embarrassed or if it'll have any effect at all. Personally I haven't purchased a UFC ppv in a long time as some fighters stalling for decisions(lay n pray, holding against the cage for minutes) and long time in between fights with only decently stacked cards have pretty much killed my interest. Then I've heard that Mousasi left to join Belator for example it just seems like they're heading in the wrong direction. And if Conor takes his money and runs there's not a lot of huge stars to generate ppv buys.
