I really like it but for the price tag I feel like I need to love it.

Not out yet but I still want to see what P1 offers. After seeing Anti-Venom I have really high hopes for P1's take on him.

Any time frame on seeing P1's version?

Maybe Wonderfest if we're lucky but I highly doubt it. My believe is we probably won't see it until the Sideshow Venom is almost ready to ship. Sideshow most likely doesn't want the Prime 1 piece to overlap with their Venom. That's my belief anyways.

True, but P1 first showed their Anti-Venom quite some time ago, and it 'll only be up for PO in the next couple of weeks. So even if they present the statue now, it 'll probably still take about half a year until PO?

Their Anti-Venom was shown near the end of November/early December 2016 so the timeframe for Anti-Venom being shown to being up for PO is about 1.5-2 months.

my speculation is that SS is preventing Prime1 from showing their version...even though it will cost significantly more.

This leads me to conclude the Prime1 version will be significantly better and more coveted by collectors, even with the added price.

Otherwise, it would make more business sense for SS to encourage Prime1 to show off their version now...so collectors could say something like..."you want how much for THAT?!..no thanks, I will get the (better) SS version which costs hundreds less".

of course just speculation : )

I feel like I need to see this one in person. The texture may not photograph well. Wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being really incredible in-hand.
