JND Studios SS 1/3 Harley Quinn
https://sugotoys.com.au/product/jnd-ss1hq3/
Is this a case of jumping the gun?
Inside information?
Pure speculation?

But I’m personally not that interested in collecting a piece of her character.
While I’m willing to collect Wonder Woman pieces after a lukewarm film, I can’t say the same for Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. Other than the obvious reasons the only reason I’ve previously felt interested was to collect a piece on an Australian actor. Pretty much the same reason why I really want an updated 1/2 scale Ledger Joker.
But I’m sure no matter what film it’s from, it’ll sell like hot cakes. I hope this new film breaks the quality curse, given who the director is.

I wouldn't go near this with a barge pole. They call it an "early bird" pre order, and want $600 - but wha happens when the piece comes out looking like the Scarecrow or the final price is $3000......will they give you back your "Early Bird" - non refundable deposit.
Just ridiculous.
If I wanna gamble $600, I'll go to Las Vegas.

I just think it's weird that no-one else anywhere else (much les JND themselves) have made any public announcements.
I trust Sugo - just wondering if they know something we don't...

No thanks. JND pre-orders have been selling out but not for a few weeks, at least. There shouldn't be any need to take a blind leap of faith and jump the gun.

Given how well JND has been engaging the community, I just can't imagine they would suddenly throw all of that away, and do a shady "leak" through a retailer - and why this ONE retailer, and not the others.
I wonder if this is even legal. What happens to that pre order if JND decide to release a different statue next, and Harley Quinn isn't scheduled until 2031? According to Sugo's policy, tough luck.....if you cancel, they keep the money.
I've never dealt with Sugo - but this seems like a real shady piece of business.

I suspect that this isn't driven by JND at all. Just a retailer jumping the gun.

In those cases by Australian law I would’ve assumed they would have no choice but to refund what was paid. And even if it wasn’t if you pay via PayPal and you know for sure that it wasn’t a legit sale you’ll just raise the issue with them and get your money back.
