That's not entirely true according to an article I read this morning. The use of the "New 52" branding is done, but the universe will continue to exist. Also from what I read DC will put more emphasis on "good stories" vs. continuity. Accessability to new readers is the name of the game. It also makes it seem like there may be books taking place in different universes, at least that's kind of what I took from it. I have a feeling there will now be old universe and new 52 universe books going simultaneously, or just some changes to the New 52 to appease older readers.

Yeah, it's not being billed as a relaunch or reboot. I think you're right about there being stories from various DC universes. Hopefully, a lot featured from the "Pre 52" 'verse.

Thanks Marvelito for pointing out the fact that the current continuity stands, just the 'New 52' moniker is being taken off the cover (since there hasn't been 52 monthlies for a while now).

Says right in the article:
"the 2011-launched, rebooted DC universe is apparently sticking around — just with less emphasis on the new universe's continuity, and more emphasis on diversifying the line."

They aren't reverting anything.

Anyways...looking forward to many of the new books and a few of the creative changes of existing books going forward. Really dislike seeing Cullen Bunn on so many titles though. I don't feel he's someone who can handle a multitude of books and actually deliver solid stories month to month.

and Bryan Hitch on JLA? Ugh...after Age of Ultron...just no

Tony:
Thats what I meant by The new 52 moniker will be gone, it's the same universe just not NEW anymore. My wording was misleading. I did notice Cullen Bunn on way too many books as well. His Sinestro has been good. Geoff Johns down to one title and Jim Lee wasting away on nothing. Thats a bummer

Whatever ends happening I just hope we get some good books out of it.

The only thing I'm sad to see didn't happen was a Power Girl solo series. Throwing her in a book with Harley isn't what I wanted to see. Hopefully since its just a limited series, they have plans to move her onto a solo outing afterwards (especially now with the absence of a Supergirl book).

I'm also hoping that Lobdell can write something good for a change as I really want to enjoy a book with Red Hood in it again. I have my doubts he can deliver, but I'll always have hope.

Can't wait to see some actual solicits in a while though and get some more idea as to the direction of these new titles.

With all the changes this puts me down to 3 ongoings and 3 to 4 books I may pick up out of the newly announced titles. DC is really making it easy for me to drop their books all together. Interested to see if the same happens with Marvel after Secret Wars.

Starfire and Black Canary look promising. I'm really digging the new Starfire look, plus Conner and Palmioti is always an exciting team and Emanuela Lupacchino is such a great artist.

Otherwise, luckily for me, most of my normal ongoing titles remain the same. Although I really, really wish they would give Catwoman a new creative team. It's really starting to bug me that we haven't had a good Catwoman storyline in years.

Agreed. As much as I loved the Harley/Power Girl team up arc in the Harley comics recently, I really do hope that the limited series has strong enough sales to lead to a Power Girl solo series.

All in all though, this is pretty exciting news.
