Blue Beetle-7.5

I just watched it (it is now on HBO/HBO Max) and I thought it was fun. It was a little more light-hearted but I thought it was good. Not the best super hero movie but I thought it was very enjoyable, the performances were very good and it had good action sequences. It was also very family oriented and I do hope that James Gunn will utilize more of these characters and cast in the upcoming DC movies. I would recommend this.

Blue Beetle 7/10. Nothing particular bad about the movie, and some great parts (like his initial transformation scene).

Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1 - 8/10

Another good entry in the franchise, too bad it didn't do better at the box office. Also, Hayley Atwell looks especially stunning in this film

Thanksgiving - 7/10. Had some questionable acting, and I would have preferred a different character to be the killer (no spoilers), but a still a damn good time. Highly recommended if you're looking for a Thanksgiving themed horror movie.

My son and I saw it and enjoyed it quite a bit. I'd score it about the same.

Blue Beetle - 6/10. The lead character being my third favorite character was not a good sign by the movie’s end. Other than Susan Sarandon’s acting, nothing terrible about the movie, but it did not aspire to be anything more than a paint by the numbers superhero origin movie.

In the movie's defense, that was only one third of the problem so putting it at the beginning wouldn't have negated everything else that happened.
