Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Yep, pretty much the same as we were figuring when they were all lined up on Sideshow Live. Somewhere right around 30", maybe a little below. But most definitely not 24.4". I don't know what their deal is in not updating order pages. I mean I get that a lot of them end up having very little, if any changes from prototype to final but there are some pretty big changes on this one. It needs to be clarified both in the text and pictures.

Well hopefully the email I received is accurate and I have mine before too much longer. I have DKR so I'll be able to do that comparison.

Moral of the story: nobody should be buying shelves or display cases until the statue is in hand.

Yep, that is true. And obviously especially when you're getting up into these beasts; I mean at some point your options are really narrowed anyway with the 1/3 statues so you should be REALLY sure that what you're going to get will work for what your plans are.

That's pretty much where I'm at with it; I mean I have some spaces right now where I can fit 1/3 statues, but it's not my final plan. Once I have more of them in hand I'll be looking to go the custom route for a stand that can fit 2 1/3's on the top shelf and 2 on the bottom. Plus I have other individual spots for the rest.

But yeah....I think a lot of people probably have no idea what they're getting into until they actually SEE one of these first hand. The pictures, as so many collectors come to realize, rarely do statues justice in terms of their size. If you're a 1/3 collector, you just can't have tons and tons of statues. At some point you've got to choose.

It's really not on Sideshow though, it's not their product. They can really only go buy whatever info P1 gives them.
