So just found out some bad news for IKEA shelving, STUVA's are being phased out. A month ago i bought 4 frames, the lighting, etc to finish them up. But they had no shelves left. The employee at the store told me it would be restocked in 3-4 weeks. Well, not the case.. I just drove 3.5 hours to another IKEA store that had the 22x17 proper sized shelves in stock. On clearance for 4$ each. Employee there confirmed they are being replaced with SMASTAD supposedly which does not come just in "frames and shelving" Well at least right now, i really did like the sturdiness of the STUVA and was a step larger then a BESTA. Gonna need to find a replacement, if they don't make frames in SMASTAD.

Anyhow, just thought id share.

I'd be cautious about anything Ikea tells me right now... their inventory has been a disaster all year.... I've been waiting on white PAX frames since February (still waiting). I waited 4 months for Besta shelves. I can't imagine them rolling out a new product when they can't even stock current product.

For anyone doing lighting, especially up facing lights, like on top of cabinets, I used these aluminum channels. Easy to work with and look really sharp. Plus, the frosted covers keep you from having to stare into exposed LEDs (total pet peeve of mine).

I'd like to know about those risers. How much are they and how much weight can they hold?

They are simple monitor stands/risers. Just search "glass monitor stand" on Amazon.

Thank you.

I am just curious if they'd be okay holding one or two 1:4 pieces. Been trying to find a way to have two tiered display on my statue shelves.

Most have weight limits listed in their descriptions. I have three 1/4 statues covering 2 risers.... and that Sinister is heavy AF.

Good idea, it says 25 lbs. I need to check what some pieces weigh.
