I didn’t see any issues with the statue, you can pull up the thread on this forum and read the initial reaction from all the dramatic debbies.

Anyways, it’s more than what I want to pay now. If I was gonna have 1 Mythos piece it would’ve been the Obi Wan. I liked it from day 1.. should’ve just ignored the noise.

Yes I remember Obi getting trashed somewhat. A lot of it was how much more he was then Darth Maul that started the line. I was one of those who didn't order when he came up, but did when SSC put him up again. I love the statue SSC greatest piece.

Same thing happened with the Galactus Maquette

I ended up cancelling it because of the “open edition WTF Greedshow” comments


Every single piece I’ve liked from first sight has been successful

The ones that are proclaimed grails, and I kinda jumped on the bandwagon just because.. I’ve regretted

Whereas Silver Surfer, Psylocke, Storm, Women of Marvel Storm, Mary Jane, Vision, Scarlet Witch were/are some of the most sought after pieces

SSC made more than one statue I didn't know the character or didn't want, SSC did such great work had to order when they came up, Iron Spidey, Skaar, Original Gladiator Hulk, Shaak Ti, Darth Malgus,

Well you're right, some of those pieces I'm surprised how much they're worth aftermarket. Some that I thought looked bad when they released and have aged worse but still go for good money while others look amazing and better than new versions go for retail or less, it's weird lol. Guess it comes down to the character and ES mostly, I think Skaar looks great by the way just don't want him in my collection.

I just thought about Iron Spidey with Comic Con this year as it was 10 years ago he came up. Was so great then, not as great statues, or as many but was nice with how cheap they were, would buy almost any sttaue that caught my attention

DT was one of SSC greats
SSC Speeder Bike was one piece I had to have when SSC showed, not cheap but a masterpiece. that was a piece that was trashed then now can go for 3 X retail. was in stock for years once it shipped, got a second one then for like 1/4 off shipped.

Ok, just watched The Mandalorian, episode 1 on Disney +. After seeing this show, I hope the new statue will be of him. Hopefully the rest of the episodes will be as good.
