Yeah I totally get that but I hope the finish is better than the comiquette. I didn't care for that paint app at all and was only able to appreciate that piece once it was chromed.
Something a little more shinny than flat paint but less than mirror chrome would be perfect for me.

I’m really excited for this one. I hope he’s in a semi-dynamic pose like colossus. I don’t want him lunging forward like Juggernaut maquette.

If this is a museum pose there better be a good reason why this is still a Maquette. My guess is the way the surf board will attach to the base will probably have a lean or a very small contact point to it. Sideshow calls any statue that has one leg touching the base a Maquette (Dr Strange, Gambit).
Otherwise the cheapest 1/4 Maquettes are $685 but go well above $1000. If this is super expensive, museum pose, and paint that doesn’t reflect his shiny/reflective appearance, as much as I want a licensed 1/4 SS there’d be no reason to get this over one of the many customs.

I agree. Silver Surfer has to have some shine to him including his board. But a mirror shine will make it hard to see the details. So something in between would be nice.

Agreed. A lot of fellas talk about that company Creations in Chrome. I looked them up and they have an option that isn’t chrome but a shinier silver. That sounds like what I’m thinking of.

Am I wrong to think that the "maquette" moniker is telling that it won't be a museum pose?

Not necessarily, it could just be the engineering of how he's standing on the board.

I’d love to see a museum pose with glactus hand as a base with a lite up feature
