I appreciate the free online viewing, but I need some new material.

I love the Robotech franchise and hope the live action flick gets done. However, in the alternative, I wouldn't mind seeing a live action tv series on this. I imagine that it would rival Battlestar Galatica.

Yup, the live action TV show should start with Macross. I keep thinking about the look and feel of a live action TV show. I'd like to be retro too, with F-14s being used for Veritech Fighters. I picture Kristen Kruek as Minmay and Erica Durance as Lisa Hayes (yes, I've been watching too much Smallville). Not sure who fill in the rest of the cast.

I totally forgot about Sentinels. I do remember waiting for the series to continue after the initial pilot, but nothing.

I don't hate Robotech. But I'm pretty sure the people behind Robotech are still preventing the new Macross shows, toys, and videogames from being sold in the U.S.

What pisses me off is that Harmony Gold finally got their act together and produced new material about 3 years ago, the Shadow Chronicles movie. They set it up to have a sequel in which we'd finally be back on the SDF-3 and see all the characters from the 3 other generations. Now this project seems to be dead and nobody is talking about it. Typical Harmony Gold silliness.

I'm worried that by the time they get around to making the next animated movie some of the original voice actors will have passed. I want a movie where we have most characters from the three generations on the SDF-3 voiced by most of the original actors. That would be sooooooooo sweet!

I watched Shadow Chronicles on youtube and found it entirely forgettable. I did like the Sentinels when I was younger but haven't watched it in a long time. The Sentinel books were ok too. I think there were five or six.

The new Macross Frontier looks amazing. I watched the first three episodes and decided it was best to watch in HD. I need to pick up the blu-ray for the show and movie. Frontier seems to be the real deal.
