Was the movie shot in IMAX or just projected onto an IMAX screen?

Excellent. I wonder when we will get our first movie shot completely in IMAX. Give me IMAX over 3D any day.

Yeah I'm with you on that. I'm not a fan of 3D myself. IMAX on the other hand really brings back the grandiose feeling a cinema is supposed to have.

I'm not sure we'll see a film fully shot with IMAX cameras for a while, if ever. Its rumored to cost upwards of 50-100% more than that of a standard film production due to the cumbersome nature of the cameras, the need for custom rigs, and the time it takes to change the reels. Plus if the entire film was shot in IMAX it would need to be downconverted for a 35mm projection system (further elevating production costs) in order to reach the majority of theaters due to the limited amount of true IMAX venues out there. Its my belief that its just not viable in today's volatile economic climate as there is to much inherent risk for studios to commit to a 2 hr. + production. I think if it were to happen with any film it would have been The Dark Knight Rises as its about as close to a sure fire box office success as you're going to get.

Sherlock 2 - 7.5/10 fun filled movie

Tintin - 6.5/10, corney like the books I read as a kid. great CGI though incredible details.

The girl with the dragon tattoo - 9/10, great movie, cool twists, does not feel as long as it actually is

Can never turn this one if I happen to hit it while surfing. Too many great bits. "Worse twins ever".
