I wonder which faction of the family is providing the license? They share licensing on some of the iconic works but have exclusive licensing to some of the others as I understand it.

This is correct. They decided up front on the ones they would share as the most iconic like Death Dealer. Then they each got to pick from what was left after that.

To me, this looks completely generic. That's not necessarily the fault of the company, or the I.P. but more the fact that the overall look and feel of this character has been duplicated in modern fantasy so often that it's impossible to create a stand out piece....in my opinion.

If I was creative director, I'd go all in on Frazetta's fantasy ladies - if I was going to touch his work at all. While there's nothing "original" in those concepts either, we know T&A sells, and it's (at least) a less trodden path in large scale statue figures......
