A New Beginning

Whilst i did collect comics as a kid i have not bought any comics for about 10 - 15 years, however, i do get some of the Trade Paperbacks (mainly the Marvel Essential books) now and again.

So, my question is this -

Are there any good stories out there in Marvel comic Land either Avengers, Defenders (are Defenders comics still going), X-Men that have only just started their run that i could start getting my teeth into?

daredevil starting from vol 2 #1 - current (#82)

Captain America (their recent winter soldier storyline)

House of M was interesting and has huge repercussions in the mutant world.

I'd recommend:

Ultimates

New Avengers

She Hulk

You'll probably need to get a few TPB's to catch up, but not many. There's the forthcoming Spider-Woman and Moon Knight solo series that both look good.

Enjoy!

I would recommend

New Avengers

Daredevil

Captain America

Astonishing X-Men (this book is amazing and rekindles much of the reason why I fell in love with comics)

Ultimate Fantastic Four

Ultimates
