That's the classic Koto box Hanky. They've used them for all of their pieces.

The sculpt is awesome! I just hope the paint apps are good.

Well, that's the classic Kotobukiya box design. The other side has the artwork and photo of the piece.

I'll piggy-back on what JP said and say that Koto's Fine Art boxes have always looked this way. I love the all white look and the way the side of the box looks that has the gold font with the Japanese writing. I wish it was like that on the other side too.

Does the black on the production piece look a bit flat to you guys? There's more tones on the previous pictures it seems. Have their other statues had any paint app issues?

I can see some shading on BP, but we need some better pics close-up. The paints seem darker than the proto, especially the base. But again it could just be the pic.

Ah okay. I'm obviously not that familiar with this line, so kudos to them on keeping things consistent.

I still think it's a bit too plain for my tastes.

After a close inspection at WonderCon , I did notice a bit of flatness to it, kind of like Venom...here some pics...

I think most of their Fine Art states are painted well for the most part, but there's been a few misses. The X-Force Psylocke was horrendous...I'm keeping mine boxed until I can find someone to repaint it.

I am sure this will suffer from the same problem with all Koto fine art statues the paint apps. Even though they make only 3 different statues a year.
