I have the Spock but now that QMX is doing 1/6 scale Trek figures I've stopped collecting the Mezco 1:12.

qmx products look pretty good but i'm in love with the mezco line, 1:12 figures with hidden joints is a dream come true for me I prefer the scale 1:12 over 1:6 cause i grew up playing and collecting 1:12 action figures.

The Mezco Hulk and Thor look fantastic.

Since Kotobukiya seems to be passing on Ragnarok and I want a Thor/Hulk battle scene to go with my Koto Civil War ArtFX statues of Iron Man and Cap, I'm in a bit of a situation.

I'm thinking of getting either the Mezco 1:12 figures or the Iron Studios Art scale statues. Any thoughts?

I PO'd the IS Art Scales, but I'm least excited for the Ragnarok line compared to the Black Panther and Homecoming ones honestly.

I got a chance to the see the Diamond Select Gallery Gladiator Hulk statue in person and it is an amazing value. It's very big and weighty (except for the plastic base, similar to Koto's ArtFXs) and the sculpt in on-point. I've yet to see the Thor, but the pose lacks dynamism compare to the IS one unfortunately.

As for the Mezcos, they always look better in person, so don't sleep on those if you already like the pictures. The only thing I dislike about the Mezco Thor is the wide shoulder joints, which shouldn't be an issue as long as you pose it. Don't get them if you're going to leave them standing in museum poses, just my two cents.

Good luck.

Thanks Jadekite. I've pre-ordered the Mezcos; they looked too good to pass up; but I'd like to see your IS statue pictures once they arrive. I've never owned an Iron Studios statue before and I'm curious to know if they can fit in my otherwise Kotobukiya-heavy display or will they stick out too much.

A polystone action figure? I didn't even think that was possible.

Mezco announced a 7.5" polystone Darkseid. It'll cost $180. Probably their most ambitious project yet.

A polystone figure? Sounds like a recipe for disaster.
