I have a friend who wants to buy but waiting until the last min. I explained to him his failed logic, but you can't help stupid.

Seems to be a steady increase of about 100 per day.

Sceptic in me calls shenanigans but I want to see it get made, so yay.
Oh there are lots of Star Wars customers that would buy but don't keep their ears to the ground. Star Wars toys do sell past their initial release date.

That's funny. Unfortunately there are probably a ton of people doing the same thing. Doesn't make any sense. They won't charge unless they get 5000 orders so waiting won't help anyone.

up to 2009 now.

That's the general mentality of people who participate in crowdfunding on Kickstarters too.

Which is why things like early bird discounts were introduced and exclusives to the crowd funding that you cannot get at retail.

Then of course there's the stretch goals to try and stop people from cancelling once the funding is met.

Getting there. It's going to be depressing if it breaks 4k but can't quite make 5k. I do think we will see a big surge towards the end.

Hmm starting to doubt it.
I know Star Wars is an obvious 1st choice and their bread & butter but honestly I think toy collectors are just exhausted.

I think it's struggling.

Are they advertising or pushing this anywhere?

When Mattycollector had their crowd sourcing they seemed to be pushing it daily and telling supporters to spread word of mouth.

Yeah I'm not sure how or where they are pushing it. 7 days to go and they still need 1119 orders. I'm sure there will be a big surge on the last day but its going to be close.
