SO I got back from the San Diego Comic Con, it was freakin awesome! Best vacation I ever took. (We stopped in Vegas there & back, gambling & strippers! woohoo!!)
Anyways, I stopped in at that outdoor mall in downtown San Diego (the one with Macys in it). I was chatting with a group of 3 locals, 2 women & a dude. I noticed that the dude was wearing what looked like a skirt. So I inquired about it. He explained the entire utilikilt thing to me. Furthermore, he told me that the utilikilt company has a booth at the con! W@W!
So I was wandering the floor at the con looking for this booth. I passed another dude who was wearing a kilt. I stopped him & inquired. He told me he was the guy running the booth. I knew then & there that it was meant to be. So I sauntered up to the booth & 10 min later I purchased the demin, pleated utilikilt. WOOHOO I am now part of the utilikilt clan. They sell FREEDOM! They are super comfortable. I cant wear pants in the summer anymore.
Funny thing is, in California, no one really bats an eye when they see me in my kilt in public. Back here in Canada, I get some looks. Some women even whistle at me! And I even carry my messenger bag (1 of the 2 from my previous posts) with me.
