With todays CGI, a couple of good writers and the original cast, I'll definately be there on opening day.

So was Stallone when he did Rocky Balboa. They could take a page from Stallone and write a smart script where the original ghostbusters come back in the starring roles. Although writing a smart script in hollywood these days seems to be too tall an order.

Just as long as its not a movie about them training up a younger team - not only is that a huge cliche, Id rather not see some snotnose punks take center stage and the original guys sit it out, if its Ghostbusters 3, it should be the boys doing what they do best, just slower :-)

I dare say I'll be there too.
I just hope they don't try to retread old material.

If the original cast are in the movie, they should definitely be center stage.

I don't mind them being in their 50s/60s, the basic plot sounds intriguing, and realistically Bill Murray is the only one of the originals who has to be on his game. Most of the other heavy lifting will be done by the younger actors and the CGI. If the script is good, and the director is good, this could definitely be a major blockbuster, it should just be scheduled for 2011, not 2012. I thought Lucas was the only one who took three years to make a movie that could be done in two.
