It's looking better at this stage than the Hera statue. I was initially a bit dubious of the Hera statue, but let's just say the final design tweaks & colouring mean that I am currently trying to get Yamato's web site to accept a non US order - without success thus far, but that's by-the-by.

Why do you want to order direct?
You can try Hobby Search. I think they ship from Jpan to the UK.

It's usually preferable to get something shipped once only, rather than from the US to Japan & then to the UK. Seems to end up costing more that way.
If I don't get anywhere with Yamato, I may do something involving a third party.

Richard

Amphitrite! I would love some beauties having to do something with the ocean. Aphrodite is also a welcomed addition!

Aphrodite will definitely be in there, just not sure if that'll be the next one. Water is pretty tough to do on a statue.

Not necessarily having water but the basic culture of clothing of a ocean dweller. Even just have the base giving an idea of land by sea. I agree that water or fire can be hit or miss when it comes to statues.

If you buy it from a Japanese retailer, i doubt that it was shipped from china to the US and then to Japan. Yamato is a Japanese company so i expect thos bound for the Japanese market would be sent directly there

I'm guessing 2 to 3 months down the road. At the moment, I'm still waiting for the factory to do the paint master. -Wei

I like the concept in general, but also agree with this comment.
Here's an example of a statue where similar leg position ("on-tip-of-your-toes") looks more natural:
