Into The Twilight Zone... The Dark Ivory FS by The CS Moore Studio

Help I'm steppin' into the twilight zone
The place is a madhouse, feels like being cloned
My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go, now that I've gone too far
Help I'm steppin' into the twilight zone

- The Golden Earring: Twilight Zone

Hi guys,

a couple of weeks ago I received the Dark Ivory FS made by The CS Moore Studio and I have been very happy with it ever since.
The first impression I got when I pulled the statue out of the box was that it was a regal and impressive looking statue.
There is something proud and defiant about Dark Ivory's pose and she looks sexy, confident and yet at the same time, curious of what is about to happen next.
When I think of vampires I usually think of the ugly bloodsucking monsters as portrayed in the Blade II movie but when looking at Ivory, I realize I could not be more wrong.
Just like Vampirella, Ivory looks like a hot babe whose only shortcoming is an unhealthy appetite for your warm, tasty blood.
The batlike wings might be a distraction and fair warning but other than that Dark Ivory is every inch a beautiful young woman in a beautiful dress.
Master Yoda taught us that the Dark Side was not stronger but only quicker, easier and more seductive. When looking at Dark Ivory it's clear that the great Jedi Master was right in every way.
Ivory may have become a creature of the night but her presence and looks definitely would make the sun shine on Count Dracula's darkest nights.

Besides the great sculpt on Dark Ivory herself, Clayboorn Moore also did a terrific job on the base.
The base looks like it is made from marble and the black and white colors nicely match the colour scheme of Dark Ivory and her dress.
Besides the white colour also reminds me of the pale skin colour of the undead creatures of the night.
The batlike wings added to both sides of the base as well as the inkblack substance coming from underneath Dark Ivory's dress emphasize in an impressive way that Dark Ivory is no longer the young woman she once was but has become something more, something dark...
When Ivory turned into a vampire the young, innocent goth girl she once was entered the twilight zone with one huge, giantlike step. The world would never be the same again for Ivory and the CS Moore Studio masterfully captured the new Ivory, the Dark Ivory in polystone.

As always I would like you to judge for yourselves and that is why I will post some pictures shortly.
Please feel free to comment on what you think of this statue after you have seen the pictures but be careful with what you say; after all I am not too sure how vampires will react when they are confronted with criticism...

Are you ready to enter the twilight zone and face your own dark self and your own dark desires and wishes?
Alright then, embrace yourselves and have fun with the pictures!

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.
It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone!

Ivory is a typical goth girl: smart, troubled family life, who goes out dancing and thinks it would be utterly cool to become a vampire. Until it happens to her, that is... Be careful what you wish for!

Ivory doesn’t get along with her family and is bored by school, so at night she takes the train to New York and dances into the wee hours at goth clubs with her friend Sally. Surrounded by attractive, vampiric strangers, she feels there would be nothing cooler than to be just like them.
One night, after a fight with her mother, she is dancing in her own world when she’s approached by a handsome man named Xander who gives her a private invite to an exclusive club.
Distracted, as she’s walking to catch the train home, Ivory comes across a girl whose neck has been cut and is bleeding on the street.
Ivory is terrified and runs home, thinking how it could have been her.
And everything only gets creepier from there on. When she goes to the exclusive club with Sally, Ivory takes a pill and has the most vivid hallucination . . . or is it a hallucination?
Is she really turning into a vampire?
Suddenly, it doesn’t seem nearly as appealing as she once imagined it to be...

"I think girls like vampires because they are mysterious and they really don't know what they are about. I think a lot of girls are attracted to that."
- Josh Hutcherson

"I think with vampires, you can't really go wrong. For generations, vampires have been a hit because they're unobtainable, mysterious, sensual, dangerous, kind of sexy."
- Ashley Greene

WOW! I had forgotten. Or maybe before I never had such a great view.

It is OK to drool isn't it? .....keeping your wise words of caution in mind.

"Please feel free to comment on what you think of this statue after you have seen the pictures but be careful with what you say; after all I am not too sure how vampires will react when they are confronted with criticism... "

Thank you Rainer, for such a gorgeous show.

the subtle details the Moore put on this piece is a work of class and refinement in the extreme. I am happy that you marveled on this piece as I have.
