Cross country skiing is great if you live in a small country.

Evan Shaner and commissions . . or lack there of

Evan just posted that if you order commissions now they'll be ready for the end of March . . . im 4 months away from being 6 years waiting.

initially had a very positive and friendly email relationship with evan, and then round about the 3 year mark, nothing, total silence.

whats that all about ?

I actually had to Google the guy as I hadn't heard of him either. Few images I recognize, but don't think he's worth a 6 year wait

Apparently he is a doctor which may explain the delays

Just three for the whole show? Yikes. I don't know if I'll be fast enough for that.

You mentioned smaller pieces and such, what prices are you thinking for those?

Thanks!

(What is happening to your commission list from last year?)

to me
Yup, unfortunately. Just not enough time to do more than three and
actually get them done before the show. I'm hellbent on them being
ready to go that Friday morning.

The smaller pieces, just head/bust sketches, somewhere in the $10/$20
range. Not really sure yet. I still may not even do that. I'll have
the family with me this year and would rather just have a good time.

The commission list from last year, I'm trying my best to work it out
with folks. Some have taken the deal to trade it for a page, or to get
a refund, which I don't mind doing. The others have said they're okay
waiting, or at least they did last time I talked to them. I'm taking a
good chunk of time off this fall and that's when I'm getting every
last lingering thing off my desk.
