I don't think it's fire, it looks like her flesh is being formed/shaped that way almost Hellraiser like, I think she will look pretty gnarly based on the small tease of her face from this banner.



If I had to guess her backstory I'd say that is probably a cursed sword that is slowly corrupting her body, also I notice her human face is in the background of this sketch pic so maybe there will be a switch-out head.

Ah ...must've skipped past that banner before. Now I see her face. In that, it's more black than red. Hoping there's more red than that in the production piece.

Just love the design on this one. The concept art already has won me over. Now to see the fully painted piece.
