Will the 3D Printing technique change the collecting business?

I like to know if 3D Printing will change the way we are collecting right now? If you have the money and the equipment for making a perfect 3D print you can now make your own exact copy of an for instance expensive sideshow Premium Format Dr.Doom, the possibilities are limitless. What do you guys think about this technology?

That wont give you the same mixed media look. Plus, still need painting and i dont think this equipment is that cheap to buy and will probably take some practice to perfect.

Long way off before they are in every home. Staples is planning on getting them to do 3D prints first. But they will be restricted to what you can and cant do. So you wont be able to walk in and print out a Doctor Doom due to not having a license.

But im sure if you make your own char, with no license needed then should be able to print it out.

They are trying hard as possible to make sure 3D printers wont be in every home cause they claim they are scared people will make guns. But im sure the truth is they are scared that people will just print out everyday things and wont go purchase these things at stores anymore. And also stuff like statues, why spend $500 on a item when you can just make your own and print it out your way.

Still early to see whats going to happen.
