Red Sonja Statue (Based on AH! Cover Art)
Hi All,
A member of the Hughes-Fans Yahoo group posted this link to a very sweet Red Sonja statue based on an Adam Hughes cover -

I thought it looked fabulous and I must admit that I'm considering purchasing one for myself. Regards,
Royd

Looks good. I was a little disappointed in the last Red Sonja statue but this one seems promising.

but 9" in height for a "kneeing" statue sounds like a FS scale for me - wrong?
nice sculpt anyway ... although her arms and legs could be more muscular in my opinion - but the breasts are ok :tounge:

I am without doubt getting this. Whats the diamond eye edition? Is this a Diamond Select piece?

My god, that girl needs a sandwich. Look at her arms! She's swinging a sword around all day, and her arms are that thin? Yuck.
I also think the color scheme was a mis-step. It doesn't look black and white--it looks like she's ill. And again, her skinniness isn't helping.
I'm all for another Red Sonja piece, but this one doesn't appeal to me at all.

Each to his/her own However, I might add that the colour scheme was also based on the original (variant?) cover to the comic. Best,
Royd

Absolutely, man, absolutely. If this piece works for you (and Bullseye and everyone else!) I'm happy for y'all, sincerely.
I read about the color scheme, and the reason for it. I just don't think it works especially well. Of course, that might be more the photo than the real deal, for sure.
