The statue scales keep going up bigger and meaner. I am starting to run out of room. It starts to become like statue hoarding. The art boxes alone take up a lot of space and if you throw them out you will lose money if you try to sale them later down the road. I think a lot of collectors probably have a large portion of their statues some where in storage too.
I am going to thin out my collection and only buy pieces I absolutely love and need.

I have all but stopped. There are a couple Bowen pieces I want but can't find them for less than $500 CDN and I refuse to pay that for a 1/6 scale. I have my name down for a couple XM pieces that don't even have a PO date so I'm hoping that will give me over a year to save for. But the last month I've honestly considered just dropping the hobby altogether. Just admire the statues I have and not buy any for several years. I just don't have the money.

I never made a decision to stop buying but it has kind of happened. Rising prices and declining quality definitely had a huge role in the move away from statues. However, I have been more into art and that has an equally large role.

I probably won't ever quit completely, but I've certainly cut down a lot. And I've passed on pieces that I really like such as the Kylo Ren PF, this is something I've never really had to do before. I can afford them, but the prices have crossed the line for me unfortunately. I'll probably pass on Darth Maul also.
