Ebay auction pictures: do good pics make a difference?
So I've decided to downsize my collection to help cover the expenses for 2 custom painted FS statues.
So many people use stock photos of busts/statues or use poor pictures. My question is do you think that posting nice pictures will yield a higher selling price? I for one, prefer to see pics of the actual bust and the better the pics the more comfortable I feel about bidding.
My pictures:

I don't think so.
I often use stock photos for my auctions but guarantee my item is in as good or better shape than the pic.
I wouldn't be interested in tha Black Panther because it looks like it has dust on it.

Dust you say? It's pristine, not a speck of dust on it.
But thanks for the input. I rarely sell on eBay so any input is appreciated.

Awesome pics Matt!
I know when I bid on items on eBay, I always feel better when I see actual photos of the item, especially watermarked. The only problem nowadays is sellers will often save a nice pic and use it for their own. A good, thorough personal description is still the most important thing IMO.

Personally I don't need an actual picture of the item for sale (unless it's a customized or kit piece where there aren't stock pics available). I rely on the seller's feedback and description of the item.

I don't usually need one because I know what I'm after, but it sometimes helps. For example, if the seller has a pic of it and it looks all new, and you get it, and it's not, then you can use that against them, etc. Like what has been mentioned, I usually base things off the sellers feedback.

I agree. It is nice to look at good pics but ultimately if the user's feedback is good, the description of the statue is more important. I think too many people just read the title or look at the pic and bid.

Personally I prefer a pic of the actual item I am buying and always provide one of the actual item if I am selling. I have no idea if it helps or not, but all other things equal, I'll buy the one that I can see the actual. If for no other reason paint can vary from statue to statue, especially in areas like eyes and things like that.
