What do people think of this piece?

I posted about this on my thread "new pics at action figure.com" thread. lol. But it definitely deserves a second look, since these close ups have pushed me very close to buying this.

It looks better close up, and I don't know if they redid the paint or what. I say this because while I like the theme, the initial pictures looked a little off and the paint looked muted. Hopefully they stick with a more vibrant paint for the actual pieces because according to these pictures it really "pops".

IMO, it may one of the best pieces DST has ever done. Good rendition of Cyclops; Marvel Girl could be a bit better. Hopefully the paints will be a bit more true to the graphics. Nice work.

I wouldn't mind seeing a 1:4 scale rendition by someone in the future.

Having bought the silver age, modern era DST X-Men, I can see myself getting and liking this one. More questionable is the new Dark Phoenix diorama.

Would have liked a removable plastic optic blast (too gimmicky?).

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
