The reason the SF line is going so well because of the classic costumes, I really hate when companies change something that will already do well

Well there is a explination for this and I will use Ryu and Ken vs Scorpion and Sub Zero as examples.
Ryu and Ken ahve always hade their standard white and red outfit, even in SF4 they still have the old costum. so when jerry is doing a statue from SF they are in their original outfits.
Scorpion and Sub Zero are still in their blue and yellow outfits but they have changed from plain blue/black , yellow /black to more detailed and outfited outfits.
So its easier to do the SF in their original outfits as they have practiclly always been in that outfit while MK characters have gotten more detailed and WB wants to promote the new game.

On the design end of things....gameplay has always been lacking in comparison to other fighters though.
