It's funny how when you translate it into a film, even when it's done exactly as the book, one of the greatest graphic novels of all time becomes mediocre.

Here's a recent comment from Mr. Moore regarding the ending to Killing Joke. Dated April 2016...

"for the record, my intention at the end of that book was to have the two characters simply experiencing a brief moment of lucidity in their ongoing very weird and probably fatal relationship with each other, reaching a moment where they both perceive the hell that they are in, and can only laugh at their preposterous situation. That's a great quote HP, & one that makes great sense in reference to the comic. Thanks so much for putting it up, I hadn't read it.

I think if the animation had been on par, and design, with any of the original BTAS or other BTAS films it would have increased the reception of this film.

Agreed. I'm not fond of this style of "WB Animation" as it looks like a rough draft to me, rather than a finished, polished, smooth animated movement and expression of characters.

I noticed most of the animator names were Asian, so I'm assuming they contracted out the work to a company in Hong Kong, China or the Philippines? Maybe it was DC's way of saving costs.

Anyone see Bad Blood or Batman vs Robin? They're both on sale, but don't trust Amazon reviews lately for movies (especially in terms of purchasing them and not renting them for cheaper)

Saw them both and was also disappointed. The most recent good DC animated films I recall watching is Batman Under the Red Hood and the Arkham one with Suicide Squad
