Statue industry runs on hype now. Used to be you saw a piece in comic shop and just had to find out more.

For me really just curious how the Ahsoka PF will turn out. Mix of excitement and nerves.

I honestly don't remember seeing Sideshow pieces in my comic shops, only action figures and DC Direct type stuff. Everything else was ordered from the Diamond catalog.

Guy came in one day and bought all 26 display Sideshow PFs/Stats from a local CBS. He was decorating his new office. This was like 2012/2013 so lots of classics.

Mine does, and it is fascinating to see how long a statue lasts in the display. Some go really quick, and then others seem to be there for months. I would say in general these $500-1000 statues move surprisingly quick in the shop.

One of my LCBS has a couple XM pieces (Hulk and Thanos) and some Sideshow pieces. The Sideshow pieces rotate through fairly well, but the XM pieces haven't moved - which is why I know which ones they have.
