I'm printing the rest of the bat signal today and plan to print the base overnight. So far so good. Once I finish this job I'm going to install a screen protector, tweak the printer for maximum performance, and then work on the mask for Ace the Bathound.
I've already got some cool projects lined up, including a couple of mini P1 pieces.
Meanwhile....
This finally arrived today, 1/4 scale Gabriel Dell'otto Spider-Man kit, with three heads. This will be my next paint job. I really like this piece!

looks good! Were you buying STL files and having someone else print them before, or just buying kits? I have seen some awesome STL files , but have no idea on how or who to have print them.

I was just buying kits. This is my first attempt at printing STLs.

Your printer is killing it. I like all the bat options you have for the signal too.

Wow, that looks great.

Are the STL files limited in print size? You could actually print it up to 1:1, right? (If the printer could print such a size )

excited to see your Dell'otto Spider-Man kit ... i got him painted... hope you will not going creazy about the web painting... its the worst part about this cool statue. are you thinking about to use a metallic blue tone for the red blue comibination?

STL files have no size limitation, its the printer itself that has size limitations. My print area is ~ 9" H x 7" W x 4" D. I can print most 1/4 scale body parts at 100% scale...but things like capes and bases need to be chopped into pieces that will fit my print bed, otherwise I need to scale them down & that means all the other pieces need to scale down as well.

Yeah, on my kit the web lines are not that well defined, especially on the head. Not sure how I'm going to approach it yet, but no metallic paint on this one, straight old school red & bright blue, with the blue highlights being a bit more exaggerated this time. Its basically the exact same red & blue as Superman thru my research.
