It looks really great. It was very nice work. How many percent are finished so far? I think that such a study can be very nice and more economical. Many brands have life size products, but their prices are very expensive. Congrats again.

Thanks guys.

It's about 90% finished I'd say. I guess it depends on how heavily you'd weigh Vader's capeset when it comes to the completed costume.

I'm only waiting on two components to finish; capeset and chest box.

If you have any ideas, let me know!
If you search for "motion activated voice player" on Amazon lots of options pop up, they all look to be little boxes you could paint black to blend right into the suit. I've also seen voice kits for the Lost in Space B-9 robot 1/6 model that would be more of a small control board that you can customize the audio files.

The only life size Vader available for purchase is Sideshow's, which in my opinion, is not very good.

Sideshow was working on amazing life size Vader about 10 years ago with Gino Sabatino from the RPF. That one was scrapped for some reason. Probably cost as Gino wanted to make it using authentic materials.

My build is an Empire Strikes Back costume and my goal is to try and get as screen accurate as possible. When building the mannequin, I used the same measurements that ILM took of Prowse when they produced his costume.

Sideshow made a mish mash Vader of costume elements from the original trilogy. For the casual observer it looks like a Vader costume, but to those in the know, it's just a VSO(Vader shaped object).

Thank you very much for your detailed answer. Really, this Darth Vader you made is progressing amazingly and I'm sure it will be great when it's finished. You are doing it with great effort. Congratulations again.

Vintage Series X-wing and Tie Fighter. I customized the X-wing by applying an acrylic wash to it.
