Far, far exceeded my expectations. Gal Gadot was wonderful as WW. Robin Wright was a bad@ss. Chris Pine was simply charming. Great action scenes. CGI not horrible. The ending shot was questionable hahaha.
Ares was cast wrong. David Thewlis wasn't right for the part. He's a great actor I just think they should have gone with someone else, if not just taken an entirely different approach to the character in all. I kept seeing Professor Lupin from HP I also wish they went with Ares' traditional Roman helmet (I don't know the correct term for it).

I would have liked the traditional costume for Ares too. The WW vs Ares statue is still one of my favorite statues. Completely underrated.

I liked all those Vs. Statues. They did really good job on them for the most part.
I also thought Ares could have looked a little better but for the film it was okay. At least they did an armored look.
I think I'm going to see this again when I get paid next week. This will probably be the first...and maybe only depending on how things go, DCEU film I buy on Blu Ray.
Hope the Steel book looks cool.

‘Wonder Woman’ Star Gal Gadot Earned a Surprising Low Salary for Her Role in the Massive Hit
Warner Bros. and DC have a massive, seemingly unstoppable hit on their hands in the form of Wonder Woman — which has so far pulled in over half a billion dollars in worldwide ticket sales — but that doesn’t mean that everyone involved with the project is currently lining their pockets with cold, hard cash. And that includes even star Gal Gadot.
As Variety reported in January 2014, the actress is signed for a three-picture deal with DC, including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman, and the upcoming Justice League film. For each film, the Israeli star is set to receive just $300,000. You read that correctly.
By way of comparison, her fellow DC player Henry Cavill reportedly earned $14 million for his part in Man of Steel, as reported by Forbes back in 2016. However, that deal likely includes bonuses and other financial sweeteners that were not included in his initial paycheck.

I read the same article and I don't see the problem. The comparison to Cavill is ridiculous serving to only ignite a gender wage gap debate which isn't relevant. Unlike Cavill, an established up and coming actor with proven leading man potential going into Man of Steel, Gadot was relatively unknown outside of a minor supporting role in the Fast & Furious franchise and was even considering giving up acting due to a lack of work. She was paid an entry level salary for WW as a result. Same as RD Jr, Chris Evans, and Chris Hemsworth who were reportedly paid less than $500,000 for their first solo Marvel outing. She'll make her big money on the sequel, follow up DCEU ensemble films and future projects outside the DCEU now that her star power has risen.
