People have been so burned by the finished products of Alien collectibles for so long that many were hesitant to take the risk.

Put them both up on Sideshow and lets rock!

A member of the FB group posted an email they sent Prime 1, asking if they'd be able to get a replacement for the damaged parts since they were originally told they had no spares.

Prime 1's Director of Project Management himself, the man from the showcase videos who's personally overseeing the 1/3 Jungle Hunter project, responded directly to that member in the thread with the following:

"Isn't your case already closed by accepting credit?"

Why are you shocked or even surprised.

Their standards have consistently been going downhill for sometime now. P1 are a disgrace.

Pretty stupid they are re-releasing this. But if you have the first version you got the wall.

Wall >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> No Wall

Sadly variants and re-releases are part of the hobby. A lousy party of the hobby. Randy Bowen turned off a bunch of his loyal fans and collectors with his re-releases and tweaked variants. He lost some fans gained some new ones. People will always say the first edition is the first edition and they are right. but there is absolutely no arguing that the second edition gives collectors options, and those options absolutely 100% impact the secondary market value of the first edition.

One of the reasons I didn't order. I ordered other products and by the time I realized this piece was a homerun it was too late.

I have no sympathy for crybabies that are pissy about a re-release just because they don't want to share their toys with other fans. I'm an Alien fan. Not some snobby rare art collector. Anyone who has a massive appreciation for the character, story, franchise, design, etc, should have the chance to obtain a piece like this. Not to mention at the end of the day this is just a mass-produced, glorified piece made from a large company. Not some original by Michelangelo.

The negative side to re-releases, which I do agree is wrong, is when someone ends up paying a fortune on eBay for a piece they didn't expect to ever have a chance of acquiring again.

Yeah, they're scumbags. That's been known for a while now. Anyone who has had defects in the original release should absolutely, 100% receive replacement pieces with or without the existence of a re-release, but especially since there is a re-release.

Okay listen I know we all love this stuff I'm right here with everyone else but the thing is re-releases and P1's response give a perspective.

All this stuff is a hustle. Usually we don't get what's advertised and it is made of the cheapest material and methods that customers will accept.
Don't pay more for statues than you feel they are worth. Don't take compromises. I will never understand taking a credit. Right off the bat a broken 2K statue. Sell it and get one of the new ones.

And yeah SHOGUN as usual is right but reissues really mainly affect secondary market profit more than original value. If a company were regularly reissuing enough to run the original value into the ground at a minority fraction or its MSRP I would be much more wary.

If this was a long time off redo with a much larger addition to the original ES I may would feel some different.

Now on to the Shockwave re-release!!!!

Prime 1 Studio: WAAL-05DXLM: ALIEN BIG CHAP DELUXE LIMITED VERSION (ALIEN).

Prime 1 Studio is proud to rerelease a sold-out collector's item from our Alien series: the 1:3 Scale WAAL-05DXLM: Alien Big Chap Deluxe Limited Version from Alien!
"Kane's Son"..."Little Rascal"..."Alien Dessert". "Giger's Alien" is known by many names, but this first introduction to the Xenomorph race is most commonly referred to as Big Chap!
This 31-inch nightmare fuel was so frightening in its inaugural outing, that one reviewer said it "made the shark from JAWS look like a goldfish"! Prime 1 Studio has heard the call and is producing more of this fantastic terror because our loyal fans demanded it!

Gone is the backdrop wall, and instead, we have distilled the essence of this statue into its most compelling form. Our Prime 1 Studio artisans, perfected Big Chap to showcase each inch of its carapace with exacting detail. The semi-translucent skull, the multitude of ridges and ribs, the glistening body of this perfect killing machine.

Big Chap is situated in a stalking pose on a simplified Nostromo-themed base so that nothing distracts from his hunt. The Deluxe Limited Version includes an additional Portrait and a display Headstand so you could display both portraits at the same time!

Believe us when we say: Do not delay on Big Chap! He's limited, so Order now!
