Yes. It is exactly like that. You wouldn't paint Superman's boots blue. And you wouldn't paint Iron Man's gloves gold. It's a fundamental misinterpretation of the armor. In all the incarnations of IM's crimson and gold suits, he has never had gold gauntlets.
Actually this is really simple. The guy who did the paint made a mistake. He didn't pay attention and he got it wrong. And nobody in Sideshow picked up on it.
The right thing to do would be to halt production and put it right. I only wish I was that confident that SS would come clean and do just that.
If you're going to produce a comiquette that is an acknowledged tribute to the work of an outstanding artist, (Adi Granov), and base it on a piece of his work, it at least behoves you to get the damn colours right!

Actually, Superman's boots were originally blue. They were like footies. I understand the argument your'e trying to make, but I just don't think it's that bad. Not bad enough to do a recall or cancel a preorder over.

Now Who said It was an error???  .......... If you notice the hand is Opened also ..and in the Comic it was Closed, so maybe it was an ARTISTIC desicion............. at least the Hand was, as Stated By Pablo.................So maybe the Paint Also...........

Hey SpenK, cool avatar. I love that statue but recently noticed that his feet, particulary the left one, is as flat as my wallet after the visa bill.

No, it's definitely a screw up. Why?
Because..
1) Sideshow aren't in the habit of deliberately changing the colour schemes on their Marvel statues.
2) here's the reaction of artist Adi Granov, upon seeing the painted prototype:
"The only thing that bothers me is that his forearm gold parts shouldn't be gold but red. Only the upper parts of his arms are red....I hope that gets fixed before production."
So there you go, the opinion of the artist himself. Good enough for me.
It's a mistake and they should fix it.

can't really see them fixing it at this late stage. To be honest it's not enough for me to cancel my order. I like IM, I like the pose, and for there to be a minor (IMO) clour mis-match is fine. I'm sure that after having it on display for a few days I won't even notice

Looks GREAT, and I personally could care less about the forearm color.
Actually it looks nice having the alternating red, gold, red, gold.
Can't wait for mine to arrive!
