I'll agree this episode was much better than anything in recent memory. I actually laughed throughout watching it. Hopefully they keep it up

sometimes he is a bit too much though when they try and cram too many stereotypes into his character and his lines

Last night was good but "the kiss" and now Raj probably hooking up with the vet is killing the fun nerd factor. I guess they can't keep it up forever but for me that's what made it funny. Oh well.

Sheldon needed it to finally grow as a character. He's been spinning his wheels for a few seasons now and the "clueless nerd" act was getting stale IMO
I'm not saying they need to have him and Amy getting physical every episode, but it was nice to see him mature in that way

I also liked Raj and the vet (who knows where it'll go though). It didn't feel so incredibly forced and awkward like every other relationship the writers have tried to get him into. It felt natural and actually had some laughs. I don't see long term in it as I think Raj is destined to always be the "single" character but it should provide a few good episodes at the least

Yeah, I guess Sheldon can't keep up the nerd act forever but I just hope this isn't the start of him turning full blown "normal."
