Is there a way to make this happen on the base or is it a matter of breaking the base...?

I don't think any of the major licensed companies have done a Mark 45 1/4 scale statue. From memory:
Sideshow has done Mark 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 42 and Mark 43.
And then we also have:
Iron Studios has done Mark 43, 46 and Mark 85.
Queen Studios has done Mark 1, 3, 7, 42, 43, 44, 49, 50 and Mark 85.

I apologize as I may have misspoke......
So many Iron-Mans.
I was referring to the current 1/4 scale that I have where it was a "re-paint" from the one that came out that was sort of dark red/Burgandy colored with the gold and the switch out Tony profile.
I have the new one that was the repaint red/gold and has the light up features on the rocky base.
He uses batteries and no a/c adapter.
So I think it was the Mark 43 perhaps.... Roman numerals always through me off.

Yes, that's the Mark 43.
And you can always use a 'battery eliminator' instead of straight batteries. Just Google for information and other risks. They're essentially wires that get plugged in using fake batteries.

This is one that got away.
Never got to see this statue in person, so for all who own it, does he stand the test, & deemed a keeper?

Yep. Base is a space hog. Worth it though. It’s currently THE IM statue IMO.

Yes it's a keeper.
I have quite a few Iron Man pieces, and it's definitely my favourite 1/4 scale piece.
I love that it's based off of actual key art from the production of the film. And that it's accurate to it, unlike Sideshows new Mark 3, where they took liberties with the pose.

So, unanimous? Not surprised at all, & could kick myself for listening to all the initial neg fears/bullsh!t, which I never really acknowledged/agreed with in the first place! Instead, denied my own eyes, got caught-up in the nonsense, & now have to scramble/hustle & chase after the prize.
Oh well, this one served as a lesson learnt. One i will never forget, & one i will never repeat. Hopefully.
Thanks for the feedback guys.

It also bothered me a lot.
What I did is just cut a black bristol in round shape to fit the circle of the arc reactor and boom! lights is gone.
I attached a pic (not the best pic)
