..just noticed color pics are being shown on a few online retailers...is this a mistake>?

Hopefully this was a quick paint-up on the small scale pre-build. I am not feeling the paint at all right now. Most of my issues are from the neck up. The face isn't grabbing me and I don't like the overall flow of the cape. I also kind of wish she wasn't all glossy. I think she would pop way more if her outfit was matte and her armor/accents were glossy. It just looks too much like the original piece. Introducing some new textures (matte) would make this one stand apart from her earlier version. I think the gold and red pieces look great though.

See the previous page. Shelley says the official paint up won't be finished until next week. She says not to go by these pics.

I love the costume and pose, but I'm hoping that the face and shape of the cloak look better on the final pics. I'm a huge fan of the first Magdalena statue and this isn't making me want that one any less unfortunately. (although I can't afford one so it may have to do!)
I hate sounding negative about a new piece as it's still very pretty, but unfortunately just not knocking me out yet. Maybe I should avoid seeing anything until the final stages in future!

Was waiting for this but I think I might go with Snow White instead. hmmm.... decisions.

I wouldn't make a decision yet. Clay typical refines quite a bit after he reads/hears customer/collector feedback. Well, at least he did with Snow White.
