I’m not a fan of the long ears on Batman pieces.

This is my question too.

Batman in particular, though. They seem to do well with Spidey and Wolverine and Supes has had a couple of good showings. They have absolutely nailed Batman before, but every time it's in a random / weird format that is not a normal 1/4th:

- Batman vs Superman diorama
- The recent Batman vs Joker
- the 1/3rd scale Sideshow bust by Bel
- the Batman / Catwoman diorama

All of these are very close to THE Batman that everybody wants and all of them look miles better than the PF's they keep putting out, but for some reason they just refuse to do it in a 1/4th standalone piece. I'm honestly starting to think it must be some kind of licensing thing or that they are actually banking on people buying these not-quite-there pieces as second choices while we wait. Otherwise it is insane to me that they keep fumbling the easiest hit I could possibly imagine.

Oh well, I guess the wait continues.

The $85 1:8 PureArts Batman on Amazon blows this thing out of the water.

Very stylized.

At this point it’s clear that for Batman, sideshow will do anything but “normal”.

Interesting. Didn't see that at first. But that could explain the chin, too. Michael Turner also liked to draw wide chins on male faces. Wonder if true ....

Yeah, just not feeling what I'm seeing so far. Not a Bats I want to add to my collection. Hopefully, all of you still waiting on a 1/4 Batman like this. I'll happily be sticking with my OG PF.

That element- the way the cape bunches at the shoulders- looks very K Jones (in Wrightson mode) to me.

As do the ears and chin/jawline.
