That's just the nature of the story. The Hobbit was more of an adventure book, while the LOTR trilogy was an epic.

The Great Train Robbery (1979) - 5/10
Good choice of actors (Connery and Sutherland work well together), but the story was just average.
Moonrise Kingdom (2012) - 8/10
Wes Anderson back in form.

Clash of the Titans remake was on in the background at my mother-in-law's house. Wow this movie aged ever more poorly than I could have thought. Just a big, bloated mess of a movie with no charm whats-so-ever, and no charisma from the lead.

Womb (Clone)(2010) 7/10 one of the more interesting movies I've seen this year. Tells the story of a woman who returns to her childhood home and rekindles her friendship with her childhood sweetheart. From here on out it gets complicated to say the least. Unfortunately to say anything more would require spoilers. However it's on of the more interesting movies on the topic of cloning

Rurouni Kensin (2012 - live action) - 9/10 - follows source material closely: http://statueforum.com/showthread.php?t=120944
Wreck it Ralph - 7.5/10 - A fun animated movie (which pays homeage to arcades) with some good morals. Only complaint is, if they licensed some of those characters you see for a few seconds they could have used them a little more - but having said that, it's cool they made it a unique movie in itself with its own identity.

Here Comes the Boom 7.5/10 We took my 11 year old daughter and two of her friends that were staying over for new years last night at the cheap theater. A fun, family movie with some good laughs. Don't go in expecting Shakespeare but a fun movie to turn the brain off and just enjoy with the family.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Inception 8/10
I hated the ending when I first saw this film, but enjoyed it more overall on the second viewing.
