I love when people doesn't hear a word I said lol.
You guys are trying to correct the Stan Winston maquette. Oh well.
By the way the neck is not any where near short, judging based on 2 crappy cellphone pictures it's a good sport here.
Motives why this can't achieve the full turnaround here: http://www.statueforum.com/showpost....8&postcount=75 Thanks.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Neck is too thin in the edited picture, but yes! Please Chronicle.

For me that's for sure.

Of course it is, and i like it much more overall than this.
I love what Chronicle wanted to do with this piece, with bringing pieces of the maquette into it and with what i think it's their better painted T-Rex prototype yet, but i find the overall look frankensteinish atm.

You really believe that's the SW maquette scanned? With that tail, skin details and those proportions?
Oh well.
The only things from SW on this piece are head and first part of the neck, i think.
And maybe just a portion of the lower legs, those that didn't needed to be touched.. a confirmation from Chronicle would be appreciated, but it's unlikely anyway.

It is, it's missing a whole (little) portion and it's too thin in the first part, like if it's not in proper scale with the body.
Looks very different from every JP T-Rex ever produced, from SWS maquettes of all scales, to original sculpts like the Breakout and things like Kenner toys or Papo.

VickPS don't try to fix what is not broken we have here a scaled down SWS maquette seening the current state of this licence probably we won't have another chance to have one.
You can post one hundred pictures with the long neck I can post one hundred with the short neck and we can argue this for the eternity.

If you don't have skills at those programs I do, I'll be happy to modify it that way that you want so much, but I can tell you it will look like a monster.
The modification they did to the model was meant to that concrete scene and to be viewed from one and one angle. I think I explained it thoroughly, I'm repeating myself.

I don't believe it, I'm completely sure. (the skin details cannot be scanned, you add them after).
They are actually selling maquettes you know? It's not that hard taking one, scan it, and scale it down.

Oh, those are not my pics frank, those beauties were posted by yankeetrex here.
It's an Horizon model btw, from a SWS maquette.

It already looks like a monster to me..
Whatever closer to what we see in the movie or even the Papo, which looks great from all angles, is welcome.

Again.. you have absolutely no proof they modified the model. We have wireframes from the scene, and proportions are the same.

Well, i don't know what to tell you. To me it's clearly a mixture of things, poorly assembled and posed.

For the record, the Horizon kit didn't come from any maquette, it was scratch built.
You said Papo? really?

Again, tales from our asses..
This maquette was made by SWS, you can see John Rosengrant painting one of these here:
And as you can read here:
Quote:
- The Horizon model company produced a vinyl model kit that is an exact replica of this maquette and is highly sought after by collectors.
|
And it's also the same maquette Kenner used for their toys.

Nice try.. what about Sideshow then, or Galileo?
What a coincidence that they all look accurate or at least good except for this piece.
