And I don't like life size full figures. (As a rule. Sure Steve Wang can make some fantastic looking ones but most commercially available ones just end up looking fake and lifeless. Kinda like an illusion, if you show too much it is ruined. Also Something about a body normally viewed in motion being frozen in an artificial moment.)

I think it defn depends. I had 2 full size Preds at different points in my past. While, the details were great, the mannequin like poses ultimately bothered me. I also had a Endo, which I liked, but had a good offer to sell it with one of the Preds, so I let him go too.
Right now I have a AWIL full size Wolf, which I feel is awesome and because of the hair, I don't think a scaled down version could ever beat it. I am considering saving up to commission a full size 1931 Frankenstein, which would look good in more of a stiff pose because it fits his character. Otherwise, I agree a lot of full size pieces don't look great.
I still feel 1:3 is the perfect scale. There are plenty of great looking 1:2 pieces, but it's hard to find good placement in a collection with them from my stand point.
