So I am not up on Ultron. Is he strong enough/ powerful enough to need the whole Avengers team to defeat?

To be fair most of the Avengers vs Ultron battles boiled down to Ultron vs Thor with the rest of the Avengers trying to stay out of the way and alive long enough for Scarlet Witch to hex Ultron.
