At this point I don't consider it a reboot. The other films simply were Fantastic Four in name only.
I consider it a chance to get it right. Those characters are deserving of the very best treatment.
I hope they get it this time.

I don't know IMO this is the epitome of a reboot. While the other 2 FF were not at all good they're way to recent for FOX to be wiping the slate clean and starting over.
As for getting it right, I have zero faith in this studio when it comes to their Marvel properties. They're only interested in making money not delivering a faithful adaptation of these beloved characters. Thats why they're rebooting everything. FF, Spider-Man, DD and X-Men. If they screw it up again they'll just start over in a few years and act like it never happened.

It takes a deep appreciation of the source material that is clear. Once in a blue moon they pull it off half way decent but your right that the odds are usually against it.

And I really don't understand why exactly... the material is perfect to be translated into films - I mean, they change things around for no real reason either! Why not have Gwen Stacy be at the top os the bridge and die at the end of Spiderman 1? Having MJ there to console him - and why not make the Abomination have ears? WTF?

Only rumor that sounds interesting is Stephen Moyer as Doom.

I don't get why they have to get "big" names for these movies. Can't they find "up and comers" to save their budget for better writers and SFX?

I think it won't be Bruce Willis' actual voice. His voice would probably undergo some kind of voice special effect filter.
