IMO the PS3 is one of the greatest pieces of home enterainment kit ever. I know alot of people will say "Sony Fanboy" but think about it. It plays games and does everything you want for a BD player. And all for around $399.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

I have called you a fanboy before and I am not fond of Sony but I will eat a little crow and give credit where credit is due. This is a huge addition. First they updated to 2.0 compatibility and now added DTS MA. They deserve a huge pat on the back.

I agree with you Bulls, for $400 there is not a Bluray player that even comes close to the PS3. I can't wait till next week.... Predator in DTS MA Whoo-Hooo.

Thank You Sony! ( I almost choked as I typed this )

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

You are one of the biggest Sony fanboys on the planet without a doubt but your also speaking the truth. For once. The PS3 is an amazing machine and easily the best blu ray player out there.

I just wonder how many people actually own equipment good enough to actually enjoy this super duper HD sound.

Exactly, on another board, some dude was like "oh, good thing cause I didn't want to upgrade my receiver" and I told him that he would have to upgrade his receiver if it doesn't do DTS HD and he said:

The PS3 will decode the DTS-MA internally (as it does Dolby TrueHD) and pass it to my receiver in 5.1 PCM over HDMI. With the PS3 doing all the decoding, my receiver doesn't need to be able to decode DTS-MA or Dolby TrueHD, as the PS3 does that before it ever sends audio to the receiver. All anyone with a PS3 needs now to enjoy full TrueHD and DTS-MA is a receiver that will do PCM over HDMI (which means pretty much every receiver that will do audio over HDMI).

I've never had much luck with Sony electronics. I hope this PS3 doesn't let me down.
