Well, it would be a fairly simple custom.

awesome work on the PS.

I, too, would like more armor on Sarah.

Oh, yeah.. that's Witchblade.

I'm sure Clay is trying to keep production costs low by eliminating the "accessories".

I'll still get her, but definitely prefer more armor.

Now watch.. I [we] buy this one, and then an armored exclusive comes out.

Thanks guys! I use Photoshop daily through the ins and outs of my job, but it's nice to take some time out and work on something else entirely for awhile.

And just to clarify, I mean absolutely no disrespect to Clay and his stunning work, it's just that, in the statues current incarnation, it doesn't feel like Witchblade to me. What makes that character (aside from her sexiness) is all the interesting things you can do visually with the Witchblade itself. I love when I see artists really push the look and feel of her armor.

At the end of the day though, She's a character that is extremely open to interpretation, and it's always nice to see how she's going to be brought to life both in the realm of comics and in collectibles.

Looks much, much better.

thats not to say that the original is bad, in fact it's the best female statue I've seen.

Not likely (hopefully!). This will be the 3rd variation off the same basic sculpt as it is! Only so far you can push it before the market pushes back.

I think read somewhere (or spoke with someone) who told me that this version was the first one Clay sculpted of the "new" Witchblades. As I recall Danny gave him the idea of doing the Schoolgirl, so they flipped the order of things and brought out the schoolgirl first. I could be wrong on the details but that's the general gist.

I like that Photoshop version but maybe if the pointy/spiky bits were toned down a bit.

The story I got direct from Clay when I spoke with him in San Diego was that the armored version was sculpted first, and someone suggested doing a version based on Silvestri's schoolgirl cover art.
Then he decided to release the schoolgirl version before the armored version.
Finally, when Danny spoke with him about producing Forum exclusives, the idea of a variant schoolgirl came up.
That's how we wound up with three versions.
