I was an extra on one of Mel Gibson movies about 15 years ago and he was one of the nicest celebrities I've ever met. The people in charge of casting told us not to talk to the stars; however, he would go out of his way to chat with us and even ate at our table and not at the "celebrity" table and we all had a nice conversation like he was just your average joe. I just feel bad for him with all that's happened. Sometimes people are just stressed out and say things that they don't mean. It happens to the best of us.

You can rent it pretty effectively though...would have saved Mel some headaches and been cheaper in the long run.
