We loved the premiere - so much better than expected. It was more of a prelude, giving some hints of the setting and things to come, rather than dragging the viewer through a ton of backstory. Based on the preview for next week, they'll start filling in the blanks with Ep. 2.
I like the reasoning for the robots' malfunctioning, and the uncertainty of whether some characters were human or not was a nice touch.

I thought it was really good also.... The only thing that worries me is the production costs look very high on this (movie quality), if it doesn't get a big following I doubt it will last very long

Just read that the first season cost HBO $100 million, with the first episode costing $25 million. That´s a lot of money.

Was reading that they got 2.3 million linear viewing (just HBO channel, with HBO GO they got 3.3 million), that compares pretty good to Game of Thrones which in it's first season got 2.2 million linear.
Now that the sets are built the cost of each episode should go down quite a bit.

Instantly I thought of one of the best Simpsons episodes ever where they vacation at Itchy & Scratchy land

This crossed my mind too.

Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

Wow...I honestly don't think this one will survive. Hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see a large enough following to sustain a long run.

Fell asleep twice trying to watch episode 1. Love sci-fi but I'm not sure this one is for me

I'm hooked. The idea of AI at this level is scary to me. I don't think humans really understand what they are messing with here. Reminds me of the nuclear bomb. Once you start, you can't put the genie back in the bottle.

With that type of technology why does everyone still wear modern clothing? Wouldn't fashion be different that far into the future?
Maybe I'm naive but it seems strange that they still go to work in suits and ties.
