Guile and M. Bison are just a continuation of SOTA's original 1/6 scale line. Ryu, Blanka, Sagat, Ken, Akuma, Cammy...

Not the first of the Street Fighter line, but first of the 1/4 scale line. This picture shows all of the statues they have done so far (not the Chun Li, Ibuki, or R Mika)...

SOTA and Jerry have both said that SOTA is only making this one statue in 1/4th scale I thought. I don't think SOTA is going to make any other 1/4th scale statues for a while...if ever.

Well Jerry said he knew for a fact that SOTA currently only had the rights to do the 1/4 Ryu and AJN stated that if this one does well enough, then who knows.
Money talks. Obviously if it sells well then there would be no reason why SOTA wouldn't go after another popular character in 1/4 scale eventually.

Truer words were never spoken, well put. I was just saying that as of now I didn't think it was the start of a line. But like you said it's very possible it will become one.
I just wish the pose on this one was better. Still when all is said and done this could end up being quite nice, I looking forward to those final shots
