I agree with this. I've never given any superhero movie a perfect rating because I find them to be relatively conventional compared to the indie and foreign films I love.

Now if Ex Machina for example was remade featuring the Avenger Jocasta, that would be a movie I'd rate 10/10.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

City of Life and Death - 10/10 This is Saving Private Ryan on steroids...disturbing and gut wrenching as well.

Ex Machina. What a great movie. So original and smart.

Agreed, one of my favorite films of 2015. Alex Garland is a major talent. 28 Days Later, Sunshine and Dredd. Looking forward to his next film Annihilation next year.

I loved it, man that house just blew my mind. I just could not handle it, nearly brought me to tears because of how beautiful it is, and as someone who relishes his solitude, it really struck a chord in me. Maybe I can visit it someday. Details below

The movie would have had more impact if I hadn't just finished the season of Westworld the day before.

That property was so epic in the film it was like a character unto itself. Just stunning!
